Beginning April 1, 2024, all Cleveland Housing Court criminal arraignments and criminal pre-trials will be in person.
There will be no Zoom virtual hearings for criminal arraignments and criminal pre-trials after March 31, 2024.
A corrected and/or modified summons removing the option to waive arraignment, provide a written "not guilty," and appear via virtual hearing shall be issued by the Clerk of Courts for all arraignments and if needed, pre-trials.
A public defender will be required to appear in Housing Court arraignments to assist those individuals, not corporations, who may need the assistance of an attorney and qualify.
Change of pleas and community control status hearing will remain virtual, unless ordered otherwise.
