Welcome to Housing Court

The Housing Court has jurisdiction over criminal cases involving violations of the City’s housing, building, fire, zoning, health, waste collection, sidewalk and agricultural and air pollution codes. The court also hears civil cases involving landlord/tenant disputes.

Through fair, tough, and compassionate adjudication and mediation the court strives to protect the health, safety and aesthetics of the properties and physical environments of our communities.

The Cleveland Housing Court currently is accepting movers’ application for inclusion in the Court’s Movers List.  Movers interested in appearing on the list must submit a completed application form, along with a copy of proof of insurance or bond coverage consistent with the Court’s requirements, to Housing Court Chief Bailiff Matthew Capadona no later than December 15, 2017.
